In the wake of fake Breitling the vintage-inspired one comes another classic revisited from the TAG Heuer back catalog. This time they chose to blow some smoke in the form of a "TAG Heuer Autavia Heuer 02 Viceroy 1972 R-Edition".
The 42 mm case is made of polished steel with a transparent sapphire display case back, which allows you to view the internal mechanisms of the mechanical movement. Mounted on the case is a bi-directional rotating bezel in polished steel and aluminum with a riveted profile, which offers a firmer grip and offers an aesthetic touch. The bezel also features a 12-hour scale engraving on it.
It is equipped with two pushers that operate the chronograph functions, with an adjustment crown between them adorned with the "HEUER" logo. All topped with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, which helps to resist water on this watch by being able to reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
The time is displayed on a black dial with rhodium-plated hour markers, followed by small white printed thin seconds, slightly longer seconds and minute markers, plus red markers for each indicator. Other red highlights given to this reissue piece can be seen in the form of a central chronograph, as well as points and parts of the central hands. Subtle touches that significantly animate this dial design.
There are two white sub-dials: a 30-minute counter at the 3 o'clock rolex replica position and a 12-hour counter at the 9 o'clock position; which might lead some to see it as a "panda dial". A vintage-style "AUTAVIA HEUER" logo has been placed on the upper half of the dial aligned with the 12 o'clock position. The rhodium-plated center hands and hour markers have all been fitted with a luminescent fill for improved legibility. There is also a white opening for the date at 6 o'clock.
